Red Bank Oaks Meeting Minutes 19 October 1985
RED BANK OAKS PROPERTY OWNER’S ASSOCIATION Annual Meeting: Saturday, October 19, 1985
The meeting was held at the old homeplace located at Balis Bell Rd. and Ranch Drive. It was called to order by President Haskel H. Young at 2:30 pm.
The following members were present:
The minutes of the previous meeting were read. Being no corrections or additions, the minutes stand as read.
Copy of the latest Financial Statement was given to all members present and is to be sent out to all owners with the minutes of this meeting.
It was announced that LANDOWNER, our past Vice President passed away with a stroke. All expressed the loss of a friend.
We now have six families residing on the property. It was reported that the roads have been graded and some gravel put in troubled spots. The roads are now in basically good condition. Next year, we will contact the people residing on the property and see if they have any suggestions on what needs improving.
The best electrical extension bid was $50,000.00. We are approximately $12,000 short. It was suggested that we see if we can borrow this money from our members to be paid back with interest at money market rate at the time of the loan and bring the power into the subdivision. This was put in the form of a motion by LANDOWNER and seconded by LANDOWNER. Motion carried. These inquiries are to be sent out by the Secretary.
The group felt that since our property taxes are approximately $17.00 per year on each parcel, we could assess each lot $200.00 and take the power through the subdivision. A motion was made by Peter Gaffney and seconded by LANDOWNER to have the secretary send out a proposal to all owners to vote on the $200.00 assessment. Motion carried.
The following slate for 1985-86 Board Members was submitted by LANDOWNER and seconded by LANDOWNER:
Being no further nominations, the above slate of officers were unanimously voted into office.
Haskel Young gave a report about the better than 50% chance of the dam being built at the narrows. The reservoir created by this dam will be five miles long and hold 330,000 acre feet of water. If this is to go in, it should be announced by 1987.
Pasture rental is down again this year, so we will adjust our rent to be in line with neighboring ranches. This year it was set for $10,000 which figures $3.74 per acre. This was agreed by all owners present. CATTLEMAN is to rent the pasture again the 1985-86 season. LANDOWNER and LANDOWNER will pay for their pasture rent for this coming year and this money will be given to CATTLEMAN. The Secretary is to send bills to LANDOWNER and LANDOWNER.
Discussion about strangers having keys to the gates brought about a motion to change all locks and send all owners new keys. Motion carried.
Being no further business the meeting was adjourned to enjoy the barbecue catered by Main Street Deli in Red Bluff.
Respectfully submitted
PATRICIA YOUNG Secretary/Treasurer
