Red Bank Oaks Meeting Minutes 15 October 1983
RED BANK OAKS PROPERTY OWNER’S ASSOCIATION Annual Meeting: Saturday, October 15, 1983
The meeting was called to order by President, Haskel H. Young, at 12 noon, October 15, 1983 at the Red Bank Oaks Subdivision. The following owners were present:
The first order of business was the annual nomination and election of Board Members for 1983-84 season. The following slate was nominated by LANDOWNER and seconded by LANDOWNER:
Haskel H. Young, president Dr. Peter Gaffney, Vice President Patricia Young, Secretary-Treasurer
No further nominations were made so the above slate of officers were voted on and it passed unanimously.
The financial report was read and discussed. Questions on high income taxes, care and repair of well and generator, insurance and flood damage were answered to all owners satisfaction. The report was approved and filed in records.
Discussion of the roads and repairs during the winter was next on the agenda. LANDOWNER said he would do the work with his D-2 tractor when requested for minor repairs and would bill the homeowner’s association. All owners approved and liked having one of our own owners doing the work.
LANDOWNER and LANDOWNER offered to be responsible for taking care of the well and generator and keep the 500 gallon water tank full for all owner’s use. All owners approved.
A motion was made by LANDOWNER that the homeowners pay all gas and repairs on the generator and well pump. This motion was seconded by LANDOWNER and unanimously approved.
It was announced that CATTLEMAN has rented the pasture for the 1983-84 season.
A motion was made by Pat Young and second by LANDOWNER to have the Barbecue catered by Francisco’s of Red Bluff and have the main dish roast beef. It was passed unanimously.
Power to and through Red Bank Oaks Subdivision was discussed. We are hoping to have some of the work done in the coming years. Once the power is to the subdivision, it will be extended throughout the area as homes are built. If anyone desires power sooner, they may pay for the extension to their parcel and be reimbursed as the money comes into Red Bank Oaks Property Owner’s Association bank account.
LANDOWNER reported he drilled a well up behind the old barn and got 20 gal per minute at 270 feet. His cost was $9.50 per foot.
LANDOWNER brought up the idea of using natural gas to generate our own power since we are sitting on a dome of gas. It was discussed that the cost of cleaning and compressing gas might be to expensive as compared to bringing in our own power lines.
No further business the meeting was adjourned and all enjoyed the barbecue.
Respectfully submitted,
Patricia A. Young Secretary-Treasurer |
